Tuia is an emerging writer and director of film and theatre based in Naarm/Melbourne, and a 2022 VCA Screenwriting graduate.

Her critically acclaimed theatre production, Powder Room, premiered in 2023, and recently received online development funding from Screen Australia for a web series adaptation.

She’s worked on various other theatre projects including The Waiting Room (Silver Strings Productions), and is the co-creator of Lost Property, a one-woman show performed by Amelia Dunn, set to tour Adelaide, Camden and Edinburgh Fringe in 2025 after being accepted into ACF 2025 Boost Program.

She was a playwright in Gasworks Script Lab program’s 2024 experienced stream.
